BIG4 Beacon Resort had some special guests for lunch in June. Rob Mills and the crew from What’s Up Downunder (Channel 7) visited Queenscliff in Victoria to film an interview with BIG4 Beacon Resort owner Lorraine. “We chose the sunny balcony of our new Port Phillip Villa and introduced presenter, Rob Mills, to some local treats,” says Lorraine.
Lorraine whipped up a pot of Sea Bounty mussels, using some local produce from the Bellarine Taste Trail, all served up with a glass of Scotchmans Hill wine. This was Rob’s first ever ‘mussel’ experience and he was very impressed.
Rob and the What’s Up Downunder crew also loved BIG4 Beacon Resort’s ‘city-style’ apartment edge of the Port Phillip Villas, particularly with the gas log fire taking the chill off the winter air; each one of them hoping to return for some leisure time very soon.
Lorraine talked about some great winter things to do, including the Taste Trail and our up and coming school holiday activities for the kids.
BIG4 Beacon Resort is offering Kids Stay Free for all of July school holidays plus they can participate in our Free CoutaKidz Program. Every day there will be running an activity focussed around cooking, such as pizza workshops, making cakes, pancake brekky and more. And don’t forget, there’s still the jumping pillow, tennis court and the heated indoor pool and spa to fill in the day.
So, while the kids are kept busy, I’m sure you know where mum and dad can be found!
The show will be going to air on Saturday, 2 July at 4.30pm.
