From humble beginnings as a small market garden in the 1980s, the family owned and operated park has developed into a tourist haven and is now the most awarded holiday park in the Northern Territory. As the gateway to the red centre, ancient cultures and breathtaking outback horizons, it’s not hard to see why this park has become a favourite for local, interstate and international guests.
To thank the community for 30 years of continued support, park owners Brendan and Bev Heenan, are inviting locals and tourists to a free family fun day at the park on Sunday 6 April. Visitors will be treated to a pancake breakfast from 9am, a BBQ lunch at 12pm, and a didgeridoo performance. There will also be face painting, craft activities and movie for kids, as well as a bouncy castle, camel rides, live entertainment and some guests of the slithering kind with a presentation from the local Alice Springs Reptile Centre. And don’t forget about all of the park’s other facilities such as the pools, jumping pillows and Go-Karts, which will also be open on the day.
“We’re so proud to reach this milestone, so we really wanted to share the celebration with those that have supported us for 30 years – the Alice Springs community,” Brendan said.
“We would love local families and tourists to join us for a pancake brekky or a snag during the day to help us reflect on the past 30 years and welcome the next 30,” Brendan added.
