BIG4 Tweed Billabong opens ‘Green Cauldron Kitchen and Lounge’

BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new camp kitchen – ‘Australia’s Green Cauldron Kitchen and Lounge’.

The brand new kitchen and lounge is themed and named after the local area – ‘Australia’s Green Cauldron’ – which has been recognised for its outstanding natural beauty and cultural significance under the National Landscapes Program. Through the opening of the kitchen and lounge, the park aims to help spread the word about the beauty and diversity of Australia’s Green Cauldron and encourages guests to explore the whole region.

Through the opening of the kitchen and lounge, the park aims to help spread the word about the beauty and diversity of Australia’s Green Cauldron and encourages guests to explore the whole region.

Park owner Andrew Tribe said that they also “wanted to build a room where people would love to spend time in and relax, not simply cook a meal and leave. Our guests are already extremely social, and this will facilitate more gatherings.”

The park’s next project is the installation of a huge water playground also themed around ‘Australia’s Green Cauldron’ due in February 2015.

Tidal saltwater billabong

The namesake private tidal saltwater billabong is fed from the nearby Tweed River. This protected retreat – with its sandy beaches and unique wildlife – is immensely popular for our ‘Aqua Jump’, swimming, fishing, SUPs and kayaking.

BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park is an ideal family holiday destination at Tweed Heads on the north coast of NSW, just metres from the QLD border and close to the theme parks, beaches and clubs of the Gold Coast.
